Heimtextil, the leading international trade fair for home and contract textiles, will be held from 14 to 17 January 2025 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. This year’s edition promises to be a benchmark for the global textile industry, with a focus on innovation, sustainability and emerging trends.
Collaboration with Studio Urquiola
One of the most anticipated innovations is the partnership with the internationally renowned Urquiola Studio. For Heimtextil 2025, a pioneering installation is planned that will offer an immersive and unique design experience, underlining the importance of innovative design in the textile sector.
Expansion of the Carpets & Rugs segment
The “Carpets & Rugs” segment will see a significant expansion, with an increase in the number of exhibitors and the addition of an entire exhibition level. The carpet and carpeting area will host a wider range of products, from hand-knotted carpets to outdoor textile solutions and contract. In addition, a new exhibition area is planned in collaboration with Ragolle Rugs and the Belgian association Fedustria, which will present a collective of prominent Belgian companies.
Heimtextil Trends 25/26: “Future Continuous”
Curated by Alcova Milano, the presentation of Heimtextil 25/26 trends, entitled “Future Continuous”, will explore the transformation of historical trends in a contemporary key. Through interviews with designers, textile researchers and representatives of associations, topics such as sustainability, technological innovation and the recovery of craft traditions will be examined. The Trend Arena will offer an engaging experience, creatively connecting the textile industry’s past and future.
Focus on sustainability and artificial intelligence
Heimtextil 2025 will continue to focus on sustainability and the integration of artificial intelligence into textile design. Innovative solutions for more environmentally friendly textile production will be presented and the potential of AI in design and manufacturing will be explored. These themes will be the focus of conferences, workshops and presentations during the event.
International participation and networking opportunities
With more than 2,800 exhibitors from 60 countries and an expected attendance of around 46,000 visitors from 130 countries, Heimtextil 2025 is confirmed as a global platform for networking and exchanging ideas in the textile sector. The event will offer many opportunities to discover the latest innovations, establish business contacts and explore trends that will shape the future of textile design.
